CPR and Safety

 

Tanya Wills and Amy Goldstein are  Certified BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) Instructors with the American Heart Association.  We offer BCLS, Heartsaver, and Friends & Family CPR, AED, and Choking including modules appropriate for parents, community members, daycare and school workers, doulas, and healthcare professionals.  Classes include a video component, discussion, and hands-on experience with mannequins.  To each class instructors bring knowledge, humor, and practical tools for understanding and remembering this stuff!

INFANT CPR/SAFETY

Appropriate for parents of babies 0-12 months; for people who want to learn CPR but do not need a course completion card in CPR for their job. This two-hour course is ideal for new parents, grandparents, babysitters and others interested in learning how to save a life of a loved one.

Babes in arms and nursing babies are always welcome at Infant CPR!

 The CPR/Safety class will include:

  • Infant CPR
  • Hands-on Practice
  • Relief of Choking
  • General Safety/Sleep Safety

ADULT/CHILD/INFANT CPR/AED/CHOKING CERTIFICATION CLASS

Appropriate for doulas, childcare or school workers, or any non-medical professional who needs CPR certification.  In this classroom-based course you will learn to recognize several life-threatening emergencies, provide CPR to victims of all ages, use an AED, and relieve choking in a safe, timely and effective manner.   Teaching involves a video component and hands-on skills adaptable in any situation.  Everyone who attends this class will be eligible for Adult, Child, and Infant CPR, AED, and Choking Certification Cards upon passing a written exam (American Heart Association Heartsaver).

TODDLER/CHILD CPR/SAFETY
